Wordful Wednesday: If You Go Down to the Woods Today ...

carved bears by bear-wrangler Tom Reid
One of the most alarming aspects to moving from the UK to Canada is the wildlife. Normally, hikes at home might startle up a hare or a fox. Here, I've run into three bears (no Goldilocks) only moments from my front doorstep.

This takes some adjusting to.
I'm using my time in the giftshop for therapy, acclimatising to the non-ferocious nature of Tom Reid's resident ursines.
They don't growl; they don't bite; and what they don't do in the woods is nobody's business (but they are housetrained).

Why not take a bear home with you today?
