Are you an Artist or Artisan with:

*  High quality, unique art and/or fine craft with wide demographic appeal

*  The ability and interest to work monthly in a co-op environment in Port Moody

*  Well-thought out packaging and marketing for your artwork

*  A good range of price points for your items

*  Interesting year-round product as well as holiday gifts

If so, Blackberry Artist's Society is doing their last jury call of the year.

Applications may be picked up at the Gift Shop in the Port Moody Arts Centre,

Applications must be received by August 1, 2016, 4 pm at Blackberry Gift Shop or by email notification.

Introducing Gale Dowle to the Blackberry family

Please drop in to the Blackberry Gift Shop and have a look at our newest Artist, Gale Dowle's work.  She uses glass, pearl and crystal beads along with semi precious stone to create beautiful cuff bracelets.  These beads are all wired together with copper, silver or gold plate.  She also creates complimentary necklaces and rings.

Gale lives in Port Coquitlam and has retired from over 25 years with ICBC to relax and work on her passion of making beautiful bracelets.  She welcomes special orders for brides, graduates and gift giving.

Meet our newest member - Beth David

Fall Forrest -  Encaustic

Welcome to our newest member, Beth David.  She is a 30 year resident of BC, originally hailing from Ontario where she learned to love the outdoors.  The mountains, trees, rocks and rivers bring her great joy and so she paints!

Beth has over 10 years experience in acrylic, encaustic, oil and water colour.  Over this time she has shown her art in  Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Airdrie, Alberta, Arts off Main, Art in The City, Vancouver, various restaurants, Port Coquitlam city hall, and hospitals.

Beth recently took part in "Riverview:  Our Iconic Landscape" which was displayed at the Pendulum Gallery in Vancouver; she was one of twenty-seven artists who painted images of the beautiful landscape, trees and buildings that are found at the Riverview Hospital lands.

Rain, Rain, go away - Acrylic

Over the past years she has been commissioned to paint pets and special pieces. Her works hang in BC, Alberta and the USA with several awards received in Alberta.

She is currently a member of Art Focus Artists Association, and the Port Moody Artists Association.

Beth says that "every piece brings me not only great pleasure, but a new learning experience, and I am looking forward to sharing my art with the visitors to the Blackberry Gift Shop".  Please drop in and check out her beautiful encaustic and acrylic pieces.
